Women with Cancer Enjoy Day of Pampering

Pasadena’s Salon Sessions opened its doors to the Beauties, who each enjoyed a stylish cut thanks to volunteer stylists at the salon. Stila cosmetics also sponsored the event, giving each participant a bag of stila cosmetics and a beautymakeover. Topping off the event was a glamour photo session with Rebecca Little from Rebecca Little Photography for each woman to showcase her new look!Sponsors for the event included Salon Sessions, stila cosmetics and Rebecca Little Photography, with food generously donated by Panera Bread Pasadena and Real Food Daily.The Foundation for Living Beauty, a Pasadena-based nonprofit organization, serves to educate, uplift and empower women along their cancer journey. The organization, founded in 2005, provides monthly events like day retreats, overnight retreats and sisterhood events where women with cancer can connect with one another and find ways to augment their physical treatment and address their many needs. Geordie Bakers is saved

first_imgGeordie Bakers had been bought out of administration, by newly formed company Minhoco 21.The Newcastle-based craft baker had recently moved to a larger site, following a new contract gain.However, delays due to the relocation resulted in the contract being cancelled, and the bakery was left in financial difficulty.Administrators from Pitman Cohen Recoveries LLP were called into advise the business.Minhoco 21 was established in April this year by the founders of fellow Newcastle business The New Zealand Gourmet Pie Company.Read the full story in the next issue of British Baker, out 31 May.last_img

The band is really having fun with their setlists, taking chances in unique and interesting ways on a nightly basis.The show also notably featured the band’s first performance of Radiohead’s “Karma Police,” played for the first time since the band’s set at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT on 10/2/13. Almost three years later to the day, the song delighted as a first set closer.After opening and closing the sets with “Brent Black,” the band had time for one more encore tune, and treated fans to a great rendition of “The Ghost Of Ralph’s Mom.” What a show!last_img read more
