Following the successful release of their brilliant new album A Moon Shaped Pool (read the review here), Radiohead have officially performed for the first time in four years, blowing away the audience at Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. The elusive alt rockers opened the show with the first five songs from the new album:  “Burn The Witch” and “Daydreaming”, “Decks Dark”, “Desert Island Disk”, and “Ful Stop”.  Known for their immensely satisfying live shows, Radiohead had no problem weaving the new material in with classics such as “There There” from Hail to the Thief, “My Iron Lung” from The Bends, “Videotape” from In Rainbows, and “Lotus Flower” from The King of Limbs.  They closed out their main set with the electrifying duo of “Everything in its Right Place” and “Idioteque” from Kid A, and the blistering “Bodysnatchers” from In Rainbows.Radiohead started their encore with The King of Limbs‘ dreamy opening track “Bloom”, and followed it up with more new material, adding “Present Tense” and “Tinker Tailor Soldier Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief” to their repertoire.  They closed the encore with “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi” from In Rainbows.  Of note, the band played fan favorite “Paranoid Android”, the only track performed from OK Computer.  After a short break the band returned for their traditional second encore, busting out the patient anthem “You and Whose Army” from Amnesiac.  The band closed out the evening with one of their most beautiful tracks, “Reckoner” from In Rainbows.Check out video highlights below.last_img read more
